Dry Weather Backpacking List
This list applies to those attending upto 2 nights of dry weather (summer conditions) backpacking.
( ) Backpack – that fits and is good repair ( ) Sleeping bag in a garbage bag lined stuff sack. ( ) Sleeping pad ( ) tent — you should split up among tent mates: ( ) poles ( ) stakes ( ) ground cloth
Clothing List, (this includes items being worn) *packed clothing should all be in ziploc bags * ( ) hiking boots ( ) spare laces for hiking boots ( ) three pair socks with liners ( ) three pair underwear ( ) Jeans or nylon pants (synthetic works best — light weight and dries quickly if it gets wet) ( ) two shirts – synthetic are best – long sleeve protects against the sun and dehydration ( ) camp shoes — old tennis shoes — — NO open toed shoes– ( ) bandana — if you use one ( ) rains gear – lightweight ( ) fleece jacket or vest ( ) SUN HAT – will be worn ( ) towel (small 1 square foot – no larger)

Patrol Gear to be split up among Patrol Members ( ) stove or stoves ( ) fuel bottles ( ) cooking pans/lids ( ) pot holder ( ) dish cleaning items ( ) Camp Suds or (biodegradable soap) ( ) Scrub pad/sponge (1/2 sponge will do) ( ) food – meals will be repacked at meeting
Misc.
